The subfloor must be dry and free of any materials that would impair adhesion. It must be leveled and able to bear weight. Any repairs must be carried out prior to the installation of VeloSeal. Measure the wall surface before hand and pre-cut the sealing membrane.
-
Seal transitional areas between the wall and floor with VeloSeal Sealing Tape and Sealing Corners.
-
Slowly and evenly pull off the backing paper from the VeloSeal Membrane and press on the wall at the same time. Using a trowel apply pressure outwards in order to force out any air pockets. Overlap the mat joints by around 5-8cm with VeloSeal Sealing Tape. Make sure that the overlap bonding is waterproof.
-
Repeat the same steps as required on other walls, and lay the floor waterproofing using the same procedure.
-
You can now tile directly onto the VeloSeal matting.
